Congratulations Chad & Aaron!
My brother and his son tested for their black belts today. Seven hour test. That's a lot of testing and a lot of hard work leading up to it. Now that makes 4 in the family with their black belts. Pretty cool!
Happy Birthday Lindsay!
Happy Birthday to Gary's niece Lindsay. Starting high school in the fall. Wow, seems like just yesterday you were one. Time flies!

Robbie Update
Robbie had a growth removed and it needed to be biopsied. The good news is that the growth was benign. Although he wants to keep licking his foot, so I've had to put the "cone" on his head. He makes a great tulip! Sounds like after some tests and this biopsy that Robbie just may be getting a little senile. Poor old man! ;-)

Kalahari part deux
We went to Kalahari for the second time. Another great adventure where good times were had by all. This is also something I highly recommend. Relatively short drive from this side of town, 160,000+ square feet of indoor water park. The outside park was open as well (big difference from December). Check it out!

Kid Rock rocks!
Last night I saw Kid Rock in concert. An awesome show -- didn't sit down at all the entire night. He really knows how to entertain his fans. Wall to wall people and just a good time overall. If you like him, you need to see him in concert.

Robbie
Robbie hasn't been himself lately, so I took him to the vet. His hearing is just about gone -- he doesn't hear much these days, and now it looks like he might have Cushings Disease. There's some testing involved, so we'll see how it goes. If he has it, I have some decisions to make that I'm not looking forward to. Please say a prayer for him.

Is it me
or is this year going too fast. I can't believe it is the end of June already. It probably hasn't helped that that weather has been unseasonable. Seems like it should only be April. Oh well . . .

Fishy
Poor Fishy left us today. He had a nice porcelin bowl funeral. Elijah took it much better than I thought. We had him 3 1/2 years -- not too bad. The internet said most live 2 years.

In Loving Memory
I found out that Gary's Uncle Ray passed away on June 12. He was not ill, so his passing was quick. He had been married to Gary's Aunt Delores for 62 years. There's a memorial service tonight. I did not know him well, but he was always very kind. Peace be with you.

Why?
I was speaking with a dear friend who was telling about some family issues. Without hashing out all the details, a relative posted some very mean and hateful comments about my friend on one of these networking websites. Why would someone do that? I wouldn't do that to a total stranger, let alone a member of family. No matter how much I may get mad or irriated with my family, I would never dream of bringing other people into it. I would not make false accusations or wish them ill will. I just don't get it. It makes me sad. I guess I'm down this week. "Fishy", Father Jack, this. I need a laugh.

Conflicted
So I found out today that Father Jack is being moved to another parish. Mind you I haven't been to St Mary's in quite awhile (we changed parishes because of Elijah's school). I guess it is bothering more than I thought it would. I have always adored him and how he puts things in perspective. I think of all those appointments with him while Gary and I were doing our marriage preparation. He and Gary clicked and anyone that knows Gary, knows that he was not exactly on the pro-catholic circuit. After we were married, it was Gary that was asking if we were going to church. It was Father Jack that turned Gary around. This man was the officiant at one of the happiest days of my life and the saddest. He baptized my son. Now he's going to another parish, where I don't think I will see him again. I pray that our paths will cross again.

Sorry for the Silence
I guess I haven't had much on my mind because I've been struggling over what to write lately. Looks like "Fishy" may not be with us much longer. I'm not sure how to let Elijah know. Sometimes he overthinks things, so I think I'll wait until it happens, otherwise he may keep visiting the fishbowl wondering when and worrying about it. Crazy how I'm worried about how he will take a fish dying.

If you can, please do
I received the TKE magazine recently. It had the TKE Foundation report in it. It looks like we are about $1,500 away from Gary's scholarship reaching the minimum amount to start awarding to college students. If you feel like donating, please do. All donations are 100% tax deductible. You can give as little at $10.00 and can make a donation online or by mail. Online, choose "Chapter Scholarship Funds". There is a spot to make a notation - reference "Gary Dysarz Memorial Scholarship - Rho Tau Chapter". All online donations give you a receipt that you can print for tax records. If you are not comfortable donating online, you can mail in a donation to the following address:
TKE Educational Foundation
8645 Founders Road
Indianapolis, IN 46268
Make the same reference as online: "Gary Dysarz Memorial Scholarship - Rho Tau Chapter"
I greatly appreciate any donation you are able to make. I also understand if you are not in a position to make a donation at this time. I started this scholarship shortly after Gary passed and have been waiting awhile to see it mature and be awarded.

The Little Man
As much as it makes me sad to write it, my little man is growing up! He's almost done with his first official school year. He went to the dentist on Saturday and was such a grown up -- he got x-rays, he's starting to get a loose tooth, and he let me put sealants on the two adult molars he has. A big change from a year ago!
Also, the big news . . . he joined the Cub Scouts! He'll be a Tiger Cub in the fall. Today we went and got his shirt and baseball hat. He looks so grown up!

The Latest
Well, I picked up my car today. Other than it stinking like sealant (whatever they used to instal it was a very strong chemical. I ended up cracking the windows in the rain to get fresh air on the way home. As I was leaving the dealership, I hear "don't forget about that survey." Oh, I won't forget about the survey and the time wasted on Monday, and the overall experience I had. I can't wait for that survey to come!

Frustration, Part 5
Today I had a call that my radio is on back order and it will take 1-2 weeks to get it and to come and get the car. Good thing I was in a meeting and didn't get that message right away. By the time I listened to that message and was steaming mad, the next message was from the service rep saying that they were able to order direct from the manufactuer and will have a new radio in on Friday. Another night with the loaner, feeling like I'm sitting on the ground and getting 22.8 MPG.

Frustration, Part 4
I took in the car today and got the loaner -- a Mercury Milan. Nice with a ton of options, including Sync, but no instructions on how to work it. Not to mention it only averages 22.8 MPG. I guess having a hybrid I've become a snob on MPG.
At the end of the day they called to tell me that they have to order me a radio and it should be in tomorrow. I get to keep the loaner overnight.

Fustration, Part 3
Today I drove the car to work and everything seemed fine. Until I left work! I came out to see the lovely Mercury logo. Guess what -- I was standing outside the car! UGH! I got into the car and called the dealership. I was nice, but it was very apparent that my patience was gone. My service rep is desparately trying to get me in right away and have a loaner. He says "I have Thursday." Really, because I'm pretty sure my battery will be dead by that point. Yeah. So, he tells me to come in tomorrow morning and he'll work something out so that I have a car. Guess I'm getting a new radio. Better not jack up my satellite subscription. That's all I have to say.
Wish me luck. Oh, and today is my wedding anniversary. Hard to believe 8 years. What a happy day back then. Miss you Gary!

Frustration, Part 2
Monday morning rolls around and fortunately the car did start. Although it was still rebooting. Annoying, but not nearly as nerve racking as the radio incident on Friday. I headed to the dealership after dropping off the little man at school. I have you know that they almost didn't believe what I was telling them. I invited to look into the car and see for themselves. Wow, amazing! Of course because I didn't have an appointment they didn't have a loaner for me. So, I got a ride home. Fortunately I had a laptop from work. They gave me the impression that they would look at it right away (don't want to wear out the battery after all). So, I waited until 11 a.m. to call. Guess what, they just started looking at it (wow, so much for looking at it when you pulled the car away at 8:20 a.m.). He tells me he should have an update for me in a couple of hours. I call work to let them know that I'll continue working from home. Thank goodness I have that flexibility right now. Time goes by and it gets to be 3 p.m. and I figure -- surely they know something by now. I call and I'm told that the tech just took it on a test drive. My service rep tells me he will call me back in 10 minutes. 12 minutes goes by and he calls me to tell me the service guy isn't back yet. WTF, did he go shopping? At about 3:50 p.m. my service rep calls me to tell me the car is ready. What happened? Well, evidently it was in demo mode (not buying it), and when they hooked it up for diagostic, it came up that it needed a restart or something. He went on a test drive to see if it would act up again and didn't. However, if the problem happens again, I get a new radio. Yippee.
So, a day was pretty much wasted to find out that they probably could have fixed it in a hour. I'm a happy camper, not. As I'm leaving, they tell me that I'll be getting a survey from Ford and they hope they met all my needs. I can't wait to get that survey.

Frustration
Let me start off with, I still love the car. However, I experienced an annoying malfunction on Friday. I stopped at the ATM to get some cash. While I was messing with the machine, my radio started going on/off, volume is going up/down. In the amount of time it take to request money, get money, get a receipt and get my card back, the thing did it at least 15 times. It also did it another 10 minutes. Just when I was about to pull into the first Lincoln/Mercury dealership I saw, it stopped. Everything was fine. Okay. Saturday was good, no issue. Sunday started out okay, but as I was leaving my third errand destination, the radio stopped working, but the computer part of the radio kept rebooting -- I would see the lovely Mercury log and then black screen, and then the logo, then black screen, etc. Amazingly, this continued well after the key was out of the ignition and the car was not running. How long will it do this? Would I be able to start the car in the morning? Guess it is time to take the car in.
To be continued . . .
To be continued . . .

Pub Crawl
Yesterday some of my coworkers and I were invited to one of our hotels in Dearborn to check out their new renovation. We were told that we would be going out after and we could also have a free room for night if needed. The hotel looks great by the way. After the tour, we were given t-shirts that indicated that the evening would be a pub crawl and on the back of the shirt was local evening establishments with a box for us to check off of our shirt as we visited.
On our third stop, we ran into my mother-in-law, sister-in-law, and Gary's niece. (Small world). It was funny running into them. I have Lois in our group photo (on the rooftop of Cheli's).
Here's our list:
Bailey's
Biergarten
Cheli's
Crave
Double Olive
Golden Eagle Lounge
Howell's
Miller's
Post
Silky's
Venue
We didn't make all of them -- some wanted to charge a cover (no thanks), but I have quite a few check marks on my shirt! A good time!

Still loving the car
Over the winter months I noticed that my car was not getting the gas mileage I expected. It was still good, but I was beginning to wonder. Well, now that the weather has changed, there has been a significant change for the better. The other morning I hit the button to calculate my average MPG while on my way to work. I hit a few traffic jams, but by the time I got to work it said 42 MPG. Awesome! That made me really happy especially consider the price of gas right now. Today I checked again, and although it is down to 36 MPG, that is still a great number for an SUV. I'm loving my car!

Yee-Haw!
Years ago we used to have themed "closing" days. These would be days where we would run with a theme for the day and try to get as many signed contracts as we could for the day. Yesterday we had one and it was a western them. Everyone put on cowboy hats and bandannas and we were treated to "Redneck Party Mix" as our musical entertainment. The office was also treated to a lunch catered by Famous Dave's. A rip roaring good time. I won one of the hourly prizes - a gift card to Target! Today I found out I had the top sales of the day - that prize includes a day off w/pay, a free room at one of our fabulous hotels and a nice dinner gift certificate! Yahoo!

Downtown Again!
Today I ventured downtown for a meeting with our convention bureau. It was the first time in their office and a long time since I've been on Fort Street. I can say that I feel much better venturing around with my GPS! Interesting observations, memorable experience, but overall worthwhile. If only I didn't have to go back to work after . . . oh well!

Downtown Detroit
Today I ventured out to Downtown Detroit and the wonderful Gem Theatre to see "Menopause the Musical" with my mom and some friends. I can't relate to most of it at this point in my life, but there were some definite funny parts. I also ran into someone I used to work with years ago -- small world! It was so nice outside that everyone was having fun downtown. There was a DJ on the top of Music Hall entertaining everyone. A good day!

Murphy and the Law
So, last night my dog gets me up in the middle of the night wanting to go outside. Needless to say I could not go back to bed after. As I tossed and turned it dawned on me that I forgot to renew my tabs! Yikes! In the wee hours I'm online renewing (thinking it would be easier - first mistake).
This morning I'm running late -- still tired from the lack of sleep. Elijah and I are scurrying off to school. As I turn on the side street a cop gets behind me (crap). My first instinct is to turn off and get as far away as possible, but we are running late and I don't have time to wander down the side streets. Two miles he's behind me and just when I turn on the side street to drop off my son, he puts his lights on and pulls me over! (you've got to be kidding me).
He walks up and asks if I know why he pulled me over, why yes, yesterday was my birthday, I forgot to renew, so I did online, my son is going to be late for school, my brother is a police lieutenant, blah, blah, blah. He asks how my driving record is and my license, registration, the usual. I have to tell him I'm a victim of identity fraud (who knows if someone has been living a life of crime with my ID -- that would be my luck you know). While he's in his car, I tell Elijah to get out of the car and go to school. He was a little apprehensive, but it wasn't worth him being late.
The cop came back, handed me my stuff and told me to have a nice day and make sure I take care of the tabs. Thanks! Murphy's law, if you wait to renew, you are bound to be pulled over -- even on the second freakin day of the month!

A New Venture
Today I went to my second cousin's baby shower. Boy does that seem weird. Not as weird as saying that my cousin is going to be a grandpa. Although saying my best friend is a grandpa is much stranger than that!
Elijah had his first official babysitter. (the one where you pay money). He seemed to have a good time and there weren't any issues.
Other than that and a birthday party the night before, it was a pretty uneventful weekend.

Another Crazy Week
It was another crazy week and I am tired! Elijah was on break this week, so enjoyed Spring break camp. Seems like he liked it and even got to go on a couple of field trips. Next week it is back to old routine.
Work continues to be busy. It's good, but I feel like I could keep on working and still have plenty to do!
Now if only we can get this weather to break. I'm tired of seeing white! :0 I had to laugh driving through my sub. One side of the street didn't have any snow and the other side did. I guess that tells us who gets sun in the afternoon and who doesn't!
Enjoy your weekend!

A snowy Good Friday
I was supposed to take the day off today, but it was too busy. I did go in a little later and as I left, it was sunny, but cold. While at work, I heard it was snowing in Minneapolis. No big, right? Well, then I heard we were supposed to get some snow. I only worked half a day and when I left things were fine. However, as I was getting closer to home, I did start to see some snow. No accumulation, but snow.
A little while after being home, I left to run some errands and discovered accumlation! What? By the time I was coming back (not more than 45 minutes), the roads were bad. It's still snowing and that was around 5 p.m. They say an inch an hour. Unbelievable! Happy Snowy Good Friday!

Fun at Work
We had a the task at work to come up iwth a 1 minute video on things we are going to do for sales in 2008. As a holiday gift last year, our boss had t-shirts made with the initials of our office -- formatted like the AC/DC logo. So, since we already had the shirts, we thought we would carry on the theme. We changed "Highway to Hell" to Highway to Sell. It was pretty funny and entertaining. We'll see what the higher ups think of it.

Snow Day!
Well, one benefit for living in Michigan is snow days! We had one today. Elijah was so funny last night because he was concerned about how we would know that he doesn't have school. When I told him we watch on TV he asked what happens if we miss it. These days it is easier to find out than I was young -- Oh God -- I just did the "when I was young . . ." Ugh! But, it is true - now there's internet, Tivo, text messages, blah blah blah.
I'm going to go and be depressed now . . .

Back to Life, Back to Reality
Well, we came home today. Yesterday was spent at Animal Kingdom. I think we were still suffering from our wild ventures the night before, because we didn't stay out long. The mid afternoon was spent lounging around and getting ready to venture back into the cold.
Flying back was nice, but a little turbulent at times. So much so that the captain made the flight attendants sit down too. Descending in all we could see is white -- a big difference from flying into Florida.
The rest of today was spent unpacking and staying out of the cold.
Before I forget . . . congratulations to my cousin Marc . . . he proposed to his Girlfriend!

Happy Valentine's Day! We spent the day going to Epcot. Every time I go, I think of my friend Ray and his quest to have a drink in every country. I hope to go again with you my friend, and try to be a part of your quest. Although we need another driver!
After our ventures at Epcot, we took the tram over to Magic Kingdom to participate in the Princess and Pirate Party. A jolly good time, but also a late night. We were beat after finding different treasures throughout the park -- in addition to riding various rides along the way!

Happy Birthday Norm!
Happy Birthday to a dear friend of Gary's (and mine) -- Norm! Cheers to a great 2008!
Rock & Roll
Wednesday we hit Disney's Hollywood Studios (the park formerly known as Disney/MGM). Elijah made great strides today and rode Aerosmith's Rock n Rollercoaster! It was a proud moment. His first words after getting off were: "that was a sweet ride." Gary would have been proud!

Universal Again!
Monday and Tuesday we did Islands of Adventure and Universal. The thing I noticed was the short lines -- 5 minutes for Spiderman? Wow! The new buzz onsite is the new Simpson's ride that is supposed to be opening this spring. In case you were wondering, it has replaced Back to the Future (say it isn't so). The ride is blocked off so you can't see anything. However, they did get the store up and running - it is called the "Quick-E-Mart." We ventured in and made a few purchases.
At first I though the lack of people could be the time of year, but perhaps it was the convention going on - it pretty much sold out the city and drove rates up high enough to scare off some tourists. At least that is what some of my work friends that now live/work in Orlando told me. All I know is that it was nice.

That's the way I like it!
After suffering through -19 degree wind chill at the "race", we came home to finish preparations to venture to Orlando! We didn't fly out until evening, so we didn't accomplish much that night. I can tell you that it was a very nice change in weather. 50-60's in the evening, 70-80's during the day. Very nice!
Did I mention that I ended up renting an Escape Hybrid? It was all that was left due to a convention in town -- plus it was only $15 more than an economy car!

Cardboard Classic
On this blistery Sunday morning we ventured out to Alpine Ski Lodge to participate in the 14th Annual Cardboard Classic. Gary's Dad built a lovely cardboard sled known as the "Arctic Rat." What is amazing is that he went down the hill with Elijah (did I mention he is 70+). Also they took 10th place out of 113 cars! Nice!
It was fun, but it was cold! Thank goodness for hand and foot warmers!

Busy, Busy, Busy
Well, it has been so busy at work lately that I not only came in on a scheduled day off and worked a full day, but I also put in 4 hours on Saturday. I finally got to a semi-respectable place and I know it will be completely undermined by the fact that I am on vacation for a week! Oh well . . .

Another Crazy Week
It was another busy week at work, which ended with a snowy commute today. Thank God I have cool bosses because it took me 1 hour, 40 minutes to get to work instead of the usual 30-40 minutes.
Not much else is going on. Elijah enjoyed a snow day. My Dad is recovering well. I have some loved ones that could use some prayers.
Have a nice weekend.

Another month almost gone
It's hard to believe that in less than a week it will be February. Where does the time go anymore? It's been busy at work, so that certainly helps pass the time, but that fast?
On another note, my father is doing amazingly well. I am so thankful for all the thoughts and prayers you extended. He goes to the doctor this week for post surgery follow up, so keep your fingers crossed that all continues to go well.
I have a dear friend that received an amazing job offer. I'm so happy for you and I wish you nothing but the best. I would have enjoyed working with you, but that doesn't mean it won't happen another time! All the best my friend.
I found out today that family member had some bad news. I won't get into the particulars out of love and respect, but please say a prayer for someone in need of love and support during a difficult time.
Have a nice weekend.

Wow
While I was at work, I received a "CNN Breaking News" alert. It said that Heath Ledger was found dead in his apartment. I have to admit that I started gasping in disbelief. Now let me clarify that I did not rush out to see all of his movies, but I liked him the ones I did see. I was more in shock with his age: 28 and the fact that he has a toddler: 2. For not knowing the guy, I felt like I was kicked in the gut because I know what his family is going through and I know how sad it is for his daughter. Death of someone before their time is tragic, it's sad. My heart goes out to his family and all of those families that have had to say goodbye to their loved ones too soon.

MLK
I have to share my son's view of MLK Day. Last week I picked him up from school and on the way home he asked me if I knew who's birthday was on Monday. He then went on to say that it was "a man that went to jail for standing up for another person and all he wanted was for things to be fair and he had a dream, and someone shot him. Why did someone shoot him?" I was very touched but also very unprepared for a deep conversation like this. What a little man.

Happy Birthday LeeLee!
Happy birthday to my Aunt LeeLee. That's the nickname she got when I was little and I never let it go . . . Anyway, I hope your day is great and best wishes for a great year! Love you!
Another Update
My dad got out the hospital on Wednesday. I think he is glad to be home, but now he really has to follow is release instructions and start moving around. It doesn't help that is is so &%$# cold out! Elijah and I went out and spent Saturday with him. He gets tired and can't stay in one spot for too long. He's being a cautious eater -- I'm not sure if he's too sensitive or is afraid of eating the wrong thing. I also found out that he hasn't been doing his breathing exercises that are supposed to help him not get pneumonia. He got into trouble for that! Thanks for keeping him in your prayers.

Thank you for your prayers
Thank you for all of your prayers during my father's aneurysm. I am happy to report that he had surgery on Thursday and came through with flying colors. It was a long day -- we had to be there at 5:30 a.m. it took about 2 hours to prep him (which by the way I have never seen someone look like they just got out of surgery before going in). They took him in about 7:45 a.m. and paged me to let me know then started surgery at 8:30 a.m. About noon they let me know if was going well and about an hour later they let me know they were finishing up. By the time he came out of recovery and got to ICU for us to see him, it was about 5 p.m. Nothing like spending 12 hours at a hospital.
Now comes the long recovery, but his attitude is positive and I pray that things continue to go well.

Deja Vous All Over Again
Most know it's January because the holidays are over and it's a new year. At work we know it's January when the phones are ringing non-stop! It's all good, but is a little shocking the first couple of days.
On another note, my dad was all set for surgery on January 3, but the doctor called to postpone because of his blood work results. Apparently he had an ear infection. He's been rescheduled to January 10. Any and all prayers are greatly appreciated.
Also, my dog had to go in to have a "growth" removed yesterday. The good news is that the doctor was not concerned about it being something bad like cancer (Thank God).
Enjoy your weekend!

Another Year Comes to a Close
I can't believe how fast this year went. It truly amazes me. There have been good times, there have been bad times, but above anything, there is much to be thankful for. I pray that 2008 will bring good wishes to my friends and loved ones.
On another note, I felt good today. I packed a box for the troops in Iraq and sent it off today. A husband of a lady I work with is serving over there currently. I hope they enjoy the stuff. I only wish I could have sent more.
Be safe.

A Fun Place
We went to Kalahari Waterpark Resort over the weekend. They just did an expansion of their indoor waterpark -- it's over 100,000 square feet! It's good to be home, but it was fun to be there!

Good News!
A dear friend of Gary's was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer (early 40's). He had surgery on Thursday and I am happy to report that he is doing well. Please continue to say a prayer for him as he recovers over the next month.

MERRY CHRISTmas!
Merry CHRISTmas! Elijah colored a manger scene and gave baby Jesus red hair! His school made bookmarks that say: "He is the reason for the season." How true it is, but how soon we forget. I hope all you have a wonderful holiday!

All I want for Christmas is . . .
Good Health! I was sick all weekend and debated going to urgent care. Settled for taking a chance on the doctor's office being open today. They were and I went. I have bronchitis. Yippee. To help get me through the holidays I got a nice shot in the rear. The cough is the worst. Happy Holidays!

Happy Birthday Little Man!
Happy birthday to my ray of sunshine, my sweetie, my boy! It's hard to believe how quickly the time has passed. He is definitely turning into a little man before my eyes.

In Loving Memory
Today my Aunt Lib passed away. She has had some health issues over the years, but the last few months have been very difficult. Although it is sad that she has left us, she is in a better place and I'm sure she is having a wonderful reunion with my grandmother (her sister), as well as all of her loved ones that left us before her. I wish her peace.

It's Officially Official!
I am a graduate! Commencement was last night. It was a rough commute thanks to the first major storm of the season, but we made it there and back safely. There were times that I questioned why did I go down there, but it was worth it when I heard how excited Elijah was when I walked across the stage. I was proud that my little man appreciated the significance of going to school and earning a degree. It took forever to get home, but we made it!

The Latest
I went to the doctor with my dad on Wednesday. There was a little misunderstanding and he again had not reviewed the films from his CT scan to tell us if he is a candidate for a stent. He said he would call by Friday to let us know. In the meantime, my dad was conflicted on which option he wanted to take. He wants it out, but it's a major surgery. On the other hand, the stent just puts a band-aid on the problem, which he would probably have to deal with later, but the procedure is much easier.
Well, I guess a decision was made for him. The doctor called and he is not a candidate for a stent. He has to have the surgery. Thank God he got the cardiac clearance, because that would have been really bad if he couldn't have the surgery either. Please continue to keep him in your prayers. He will be having surgery after the holidays.

D-Day Has Returned
It's that dreadful day that I don't enjoy. This year the days of the week patterned returned to the way it was the year Gary left us. It's been a weird week. Howard Jones keeps playing on my satellite radio. The other day I changed the channel and it was on the next channel. When I decided to pick new stations, I was treated to music that Gary used to play on the guitar. I don't know if he was sending me a message. I asked him is he was, but got nothing. I thought it held it together pretty good. Tonight I'm sitting back drinking a bottle of wine and reflecting on what was and is. I hope you had a pleasant thought of Gary today. Again I invite you to share a story . . .

My Sweetie
Elijah's teacher sent me an email that Elijah did something very nice the other day. Apparently another classmate was opening her applesauce and dropped it on the floor. I had sent two containers of applesauce to school so he could have one as a snack. Well, he took one of them and gave it to her. How sweet is that. I was so proud of him for doing that without even being asked to do so.
