More Birthdays
Happy birthday to my oldest and dearest friend Kevin. It was two days ago, but I didn't have a chance to go online to post him a note. Today is his grandson's 2nd birthday, and this coming Wednesday is his son's birthdays. Three birthdays in seven days for the same family. Isn't it funny how things like that work out?
Decisions Decisions
I started looking at new cars. I think I'm going to get a Hybrid either Escape or Mariner. No one seems to have any, so I would have to order it. I did get lucky and got to drive a Hybrid Mariner. It rode nice and has some great options. I feel good that it helps the environment in addition to my pocketbook. Even better is that with the Ford Hybrids you get a $3K tax credit. Yee Haw! Nothing official yet, but I'm pretty sure I'll do it.

What is the deal?
It was another crazy week at work. It's pretty bad when you are working 10-12 hours a day and another 6 on Saturday, but still in the weeds! I turned over 20 groups to come in next week. What is with next week? Seems like everyone wants to have a meeting then.
It was public safety week at Elijah's dojo. A policeman was there one day, a fireman another, and Jax the police dog on the third day. Elijah seemed to enjoy it and he learned some stuff too!
Not much else is going on except schoolwork! Yippee! Only this class and one more. That is the only thing that is keeping me sane at this point!
Enjoy your weekend!

Do you feel lucky? / Answer the Call
Well, it's 7/7/07. The day that everyone feels is a lucky day. Seems like another day to me. Other than the Live Earth concerts. All day I have been thinking about Live Aid from the 80's. I found myself watching way too much of these concerts. It has also been educational about we as individuals can do to make a difference. Check it out. Answer the call.

Two to go
Another class is done! Two to go. This is the first time that I am on break in between classes, so I don't know what to do with myself. I can't believe that I am almost done! I can't wait!
The next class is on taxes. For my final project I get to do a tax return for a company. At least this class seems more interesting than auditing.
Elijah has had a week off from his summer camp. I can tell that he's been enjoying a week without a schedule. It's hard to believe it's July already and soon he will be off to big boy school (that's what we call it since daycare has been "school" for so long).
Not much else is going on. Went back to work today and it was busy. I worked 12 hours and still was nowhere near to being done. I just hope it gets better soon. They only way I can describe the workload to you is to tell you to imagine drinking water out of a fire hose. That is how the work load has been lately.
I've been thinking a lot about Gary lately. I don't know why he has been so strong in my mind. "The Wedding Singer" was on cable tonight. I was thinking of Gary well before then, but that movie always makes me think of him since he was such an 80's guy! You are welcome to share those stories. Don't be shy . . . I could use a smile and a laugh . . .

Happy Independence Day!
Happy 4th! I didn't make it to any festivals, carnivals, or a bb-q, but it's still an important day - a day to celebrate our freedom.

Happy Canada Day!
For those of you who are Canadian, Happy Canada Day! I always thought it was interesting that their holiday is close to ours.
Not much else I going on. Just trying to wrap up this class. Starting Tuesday I'm on break for a week and then I start my next class. Two to go! I cannot wait to be done!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Hopefully you have some time off as well!
