Coldplay Rocks!

I went to see Coldplay tonight. What a concert! I have always liked them, but after seeing them live and how much they put into their show, I like them even more. Check out the weblink for a clip from one of their songs. Wow!

Vote for Sarah!

The mom that runs the latchkey program at Elijah's school, has a daughter that is on "America's Got Talent." Her name is Sarah Lenore and she has a great voice. Please vote for her online or by phone 866-60-AGT-05. She's great!

Kid Rock rocks!

Last night I saw Kid Rock in concert. An awesome show -- didn't sit down at all the entire night. He really knows how to entertain his fans. Wall to wall people and just a good time overall. If you like him, you need to see him in concert.

Do you feel lucky? / Answer the Call

Well, it's 7/7/07. The day that everyone feels is a lucky day. Seems like another day to me. Other than the Live Earth concerts. All day I have been thinking about Live Aid from the 80's. I found myself watching way too much of these concerts. It has also been educational about we as individuals can do to make a difference. Check it out. Answer the call.

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductees

Congratulations to the 2007 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductees. I mention it because one of my favorite groups, Van Halen was selected. I am also a fan of REM. The big question is, who will be there on behalf of Van Halen? Who will perform: Sammy or DLR? Only time will tell! What's rock & roll without a little scandal! There's also a historical moment with the first rap group inductee: Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five!

Red Hot Chili Peppers

Thanks to the Troy Marriott, a bunch of us from work were treated to the Red Hot Chili Peppers concert at the Palace. We received transportation in the form of a party bus, suite tickets, and a LOT of beverages. The night ended with complimentary accommodations at the hotel. Some of you may have received some text messages and/or photos sent from me. I hope you enjoyed them. I'm starting to get better at typing these text messages!

It was a great time and it was nice to get out. Elijah spent the night with Grandpa S and had fun as well. It was back to the routine on Saturday with a morning karate class.

Pandora

So my work put the big stop to what is on our computers. We can't have pictures, screensavers or anything that is .exe programs. Now if anything needs to be upgraded or installed, it has to be done by a system administrator. I found myself looking for free internet radio that doesn't require software to be installed. I found a site called Pandora.

Thank You

Let's see how may titles I can pull from Led Zeppelin songs . . . LOL

Today I received my annual review. It was awesome! I cannot tell you how different it was from last year. I am so grateful for having a boss that truly appreciates hard work. The way I feel about my job today is a complete 180 degree turn from last year. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I also wanted to share a story from the past. It is in memory of my sister-in-law who passed away. She battled breast cancer for almost two years. Long before she was my sister-in-law, she was my friend from junior high school. There was this time that I stayed over night at her house. We managed to sneak out . . . We thought we were slick. So, we get out of the house and you would think we have some big plans, right? No, we end up walking around and hanging out in a parking lot! Back then, though, we thought we were something! Climbing back in that window was a $&%#@, but we did it! The really funny thing is that a couple of weeks later, she snuck out, but since no one was staying over, her mom came to see what all the noise was a caught her! I really gave her heck about that!
