You know what the nice thing about January is?

It's almost over! Sorry to those who like the month, but I always dread it. It's busy at work and I am recovering from the emotional rollercoaster called December. Hopefully February will turn things around, but I'm still convinced we are not done with snow around here!

My class ends at midnight tonight. I'm 50 points away from an A. Cross your fingers. The class was great, but it was definitely more 'taxing' than the last one. Accounting starts tomorrow. It's a pre-req, so it's pass/fail and only three weeks long. I guess it is going to prep us for the accounting class that follows.

How Many Days until the Superbowl . . .

I'm not a big football fan, but I am counting the days until it is over! It was a crazy week at work now that everyone knows who is playing!

A friend of mine suffered a loss this past week. Her nephew lost his fight with complications from birth. He was about three months old. Please keep her and her family in your prayers.

My class ends Monday. The next one starts Tuesday. Wish me luck!

Don't forget to post comments! I am still looking for some Gary stories! Please!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend! Happy belated birthday to my Uncle Herbie (it was yesterday)!

Happy Birthday Aunt LeeLee!

Today is my Aunt's birthday! I hope it's a great day for her!
Another week is gone! I had jury duty on Wednesday in Downtown Detroit. I didn't end up on a jury, but it was quite an experience! I also got an A on my paper! Ten days until the class ends! It's still busy at work, so I never feel caught up there! Have a great weekend!

Help Me Out Here!

As I'm getting used to doing this, I realized that it is time to ask for some stories. I need some on Gary. Please share . . . I really want to do this for Elijah. Also, on the subject, I started a scholarship fund in Gary's name via Tau Kappa Epsilon Foundation. If you feel like giving, here's the link. Donations are tax deductible and it will help other Tekes (and hopefully Elijah) in the future!
Thank you!

Another Week in 2006 is History!

Well, I made it through another busy week at work! It had some crazy moments, but overall it wasn't too bad. Things are coming together for Superbowl. Someone I work with had some bad news about her mother's health. Please pray for her.

School is coming along. About two more weeks and this class will be done. It's paper writing time . . . big time! Wish me luck! After this class starts a couple of accounting classes.

Happy Birthday Uncle Kenny and Elvis!

Another birthday! My uncle shares the same day as Elvis. I called him up in Cheboygan to wish him a happy birthday. They still have a foot of snow up there!

Today is also the anniversary of my first date with Gary. He took me to Les Miserables. It's hard to believe how fast time goes. It makes me a little sad because I miss him very much, but I am trying to remember the good times.

Other than that, I have a paper to write and am seeking motivation. We'll see how much I accomplish as the week goes on!

Happy Birthday Pops!

Happy Birthday Pops (aka my father in law Chuck)! Elijah and I tried to call him, but got his answering machine. He is quite the traveler. Hope your day is great!

The end of a crazy week

December is so slow at work, you are happy to be busy. Then comes January. You wonder why in December you wished for this time of the year. I had 12 voice mails before 11 am one day!

Today I took my son for his 4 year check up. A new stress. Unlike previous annual checkups, we had to experience having his blood pressure taken (it took 3 times to get it right). Then an eye test. Instead of letters, they were symbols. He got bored after being asked to read it twice then two more time -- each with one eye closed. Then they tell me he needs to put on a gown for the exam. That did not go well to say the least. We ended the appointment with three vaccination shots. Needless to say he is probably emotionally scared for life and I found myself making a note to do this at the end of the day next year and to have a cocktail after . . . or at lead take a nerve pill before going!

In between all that I have to work in time for homework and time to work out. Guess what is at the bottom of the list!

No matter how crazy this week was, I have to give thanks to God for all the blessings in my life.

Hello

Welcome to my blog! This is something new for me, so we will see how it goes!
